Kevin Days

Associate Director of Operations, PARCC Inc.
Kevin Michael Days has an almost 20-year career as a nonprofit professional who has considerable organizational, programming, and diversity experience. He has run the day-to-day operations of a multicultural community center, stood up two new nonprofits, in New York State and Washington, DC. and served six years as a federal program officer supporting the development of service-learning at the national level.

Kevin’s work has been dedicated to building sustainable organizations that empower youth to gain skills and knowledge to achieve their goals. Whether working at the federal, state, or community level, Kevin used his strong interpersonal skills to build consensus, win over skeptics, and build long-term authentic relationships that enable programs that serve youth to thrive and succeed.

Kevin graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh with a B.A. in History and obtained a Master’s degree in African-American history from Cornell University.

Kevin is currently the Associate Director for Operations at PARCC Inc. From 2004 to 2011, he served in a number of positions at the Corporation for National and Community Service, including as the Advisor for Higher Education. From 2002 to 2004, Kevin was the founding Executive Director of New York Campus Compact, a statewide higher education organization working to renew the civic mission of colleges and universities. In 1997, Kevin became the Executive Director of the Booker T. Washington Community Center in Auburn, New York. Kevin was elected to the Board of Education, rising to the position of Vice President.
Kevin volunteers for the Close Up Foundation, helping to educating middle and high school students on the role of the federal government. Building on his work with Close-Up, Kevin is now developing workshops focused on helping people improve their civil dialogue communication skills. His is also an experienced diversity, equity, and inclusion trainer, having conducted workshops at colleges and universities.

As a Brooklyn native, Kevin is a long suffering Mets fan, who also roots for the New York football Giants. Kevin lives in Burke, VA, with his beautiful wife and three children, but he wishes he had a dog.
